I’m the luckiest human being on earth – Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria, the American actress, producer and director, says she’s the luckiest woman alive, and she admits it’s all because of a man. The 41-year-old is currently in her third marriage after Tyler Christopher (2002-04) and Tony Parker (2007-11).

The U.S. businesswoman and activist whose full legal names are now Eva Jacqueline Longoria Baston says she’s “the luckiest human being on earth” because of her new found love, Jose “Pepe” Baston.

The lovebirds got married earlier this year in Mexico (21 May). And she is yet to find words that’ll best describe how supportive he has been.

Longoria says her 47-year-old husband, a TV icon, shows perfect understanding and shares her dreams, adding that both of them are a perfect fit for each other.

In her recent interview with Latina Magazine, the Texas-born actress said: “I feel like I’m the luckiest human being in the world, and he feels that he’s the luckiest and that’s a beautiful thing.

“We have so much respect for each other’s dreams and ambitions, for our families and our life goals together.

“I never felt I was partnered with an equal until I met him.”

The “Desperate Housewives” actress giggled when asked about their plans to start a family. She admitted that they’re looking forward to it though stressing that they’re not in a haste at this moment. It’s barely 7 months since they got married.

In her words: “If it is on the horizon for us, then great, but we are just enjoying each other now.”

After two broken marriages, the 2006 ALMA Awards Person of the Year winner believes her marriage to Baston wasn’t born out of the desperation to stay married.

She previously shared: “I think every relationship is a path to where you are today. Every wrong turn led you to the spot where you are, so it wasn’t necessarily the wrong turn at the time.

“I wouldn’t change anything – never. Pepe and I are soul mates – I don’t even know how to explain it, because it’s like we’re two different sides of the same coin.”

Longoria hosted the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid, Spain.

In 2007, the “Frontera” actress whose parents are American-Mexican, wedded Tony Parker, a basketball superstar who plays as a point guard for Spurs.

They met in November 2004. And on 30 November, the lovebirds sealed their relationship with an engagement.

Parker and Longoria later had their wedding at a Paris city hall on 6 July, 2007.

The following day, Parker and Eva held a Catholic wedding ceremony at the Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois Church in Paris.

On 17 November, 2010, the actress filed for legal separation from her husband, citing “irreconcilable differences”. She requested that her maiden name be restored by the court, and added in her petition that Parker should place her on spousal support.

Media reports say the lovebirds had a prenuptial agreement signed in 2007, a few weeks before their wedding.

Two years later, the agreement was amended but shortly after that, she confided in a friend that her husband was cheating.

The other woman was confirmed to be a wife to Parker’s former teammate, Brent Barry, who also divorced his wife for the same reason.

  1. Everyone has the right to say the same thing because being alive in the first place is a gift. The words we say somehow determines what comes to us. This is about people being positive and appreciating what they have. Some other persons will have what Eva has and still not know what it mans to have a good man who truly loves her.
