Val Kilmer has finally admitted that he’s battling cancer after previously denying the truth.

The Hollywood actor found fame in the 1980’s after featuring in a series of comedy movies, notably, a 1984 blockbuster “The Secret. He’s also known for his role in “Top Gun.”
Kilmer was drilled on Reddit’s AMA (Ask Me Anything) about his friend’s revelation that he’s got cancer, but the 56-year-old vehemently discarded it as rumors.
The music lover and devout Christian Scientist was reportedly rushed to a hospital after bleeding from the throat in early 2015.
A report from TMZ speculated that the “Life’s Too Short” actor was suffering from throat cancer but he refuted the claims with a Facebook post which reads: Thank you for all your sweet support. But I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the ucla ICU.
Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there’s minimum gossip and silly talk.
I am praying for a speedy return to the boards as they say.

Famous actor Michael Douglas, a close friend to the cancer-stricken actor, was diagnosed of tongue cancer in 2010 but was declared free shortly after undergoing treatments.
Douglas, 72, called out Kilmer for lying to his numerous fans, family and everyone about his status. “He (Kilmer) is dealing with exactly what I had,” the producer-actor said in a public statement.
“…I love Michael Douglas but he is misinformed,” Kilmer responded with regards to last November’s revelation from the Academy Award’s Best Actor winner.
“The last time I spoke to him was almost two years ago, when I asked him for a referral for a specialist to get a diagnosis for a lump in my throat, which prevented me from continuing a tour of my play Citizen Twain.
“I ended up using a team at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) and have no cancer whatsoever. I still have a swollen tongue and am rehabbing steadily.”
He added: “I hope this puts to rest any further concerns about my health by publications that have no respect for the truth.
“Whatever led Michael Douglas to speculate about my health, he’s a loving and devoted friend to a privileged group of talented people around the world, and I’m sure he meant no harm.”
Answering questions on the truth behind Michael’s comments, Kilmer has finally admitted his health problems following a hearty response to a concerned fan at Reddit’s AMA.
In his words: “He (Micheal) was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen although healing all the time.
“Because I don’t sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather.”
Gosh, Val really looks different now. Hope he recovers smoothly.
