Human beings are naturally inquisitive, and we love the never-ending dramas so much that the truth seems incomplete or better still, nonexistent. The search never ends.

There are many conspiracy theories which are yet to be proven — beyond all reasonable doubts. These include a wide range of true life events which might have actually been fictions, after all.

Some secret plots from the governments, assassinations of famous individuals, natural/man-made disasters, and most facts we believe as scientifically proven, may have been lies.

At times like this, we tend to rely on history for answers, but how can such truths hold any water, if the history-makers are men and women who live in the dark age.

The Bible, for example, has been at the center of such controversies.

Bible conspiracy theorists have argued that almost everything we know about the Bible are lies. They claim Jesus was a married man with children. Worse still, the theorists say he did not die on the cross as is recorded in the Holy book, also adding that Mary Magdalene was his concubine.

How about global warming? Conspiracy theorists believe the science which campaigns for global warming has been manipulated for financial and possibly, ideological purposes.

 

And there are these and more: Princess Diana, Elvis Presley, Osama Bin Laden, Tupac Shakur, illuminati, mind control, hurricanes and even BP oil spill.

The Titanic, stands tall among all conspiracy theories.

According to theorists, the ship which brought tears to our eyes since history replayed those heartbreaking events is the movie, was believed to have been swapped with her sister ship, the Olympic.

Author Robin Gardiner explored this theory in his 1998 book, Titanic: The Ship That Never Sank?

In Gardner’s analysis, J.P. Morgan [the company which owned White Star] spearheaded the financial scam so perfectly that the truth has remained hidden for over a century.

The Olympic was involved in two accidents at sea just months after it was launched in 1911. The ship allegedly suffered almost irreparable damage, which would have meant financial ruin for White Star because the company was already in financial trouble.

As a way of controlling the damage, the Titanic and the Olympic were swapped. The latter was made to sink in a movie-like accident, while the real Titanic carried on — but with a different name the Olympic.

High profile passengers, including J. P. Morgan himself, was believed to have canceled his travel on board a few days before the voyage, to ensure that the scam was staged without suspicion.

RMS Titanic, the British passenger liner sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in the early morning of 15 April 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City, they said. 1,500 passengers died, out of the estimated total of 2,224.

The Titanic was considered the greatest commercial disaster in modern history.

• Fluoride

Not all countries in the world care to fluoridate their water supplies. Australia, Canada, the UK and United States does, and the governments claim such is necessary for good health, adding that it helps prevent tooth decay among the populace.

However, conspiracy theorists say the reasons are fabricated lies. They claim it’s born out of the need for governments’ mind-control scheme which puts everyone’s life in the hands of a selected few.

• Osama Bin Laden

Bin Laden was killed by the US Navy Seals in 2011 and buried at sea, but conspiracy theorists say he’s very much alive.

Because burying the remains of Osama bin Laden anywhere on earth would turn the grave into sacred ground for millions around the world, the decision was made to bury the body at sea. This aroused the suspicion that the “deceased” could still be lying dead in a freezer somewhere.

However, the fact that the shooter who killed Bin Laden was in a hurry to identify himself for the glory, made a mess of what the military stands for. Unfortunately, his sudden death — under mysterious circumstances — shows there’s more to the story.

• Paul McCartney

One might get arrested for saying “Paul is dead.” As an urban legend, history has it that the man Paul McCartney of the English rock band The Beatles died in 1966.

However, conspiracy theorists believe he was secretly replaced by a look-alike for reasons yet unknown.

Seems being dead is the best way to stay alive, right?

The Malaysian airlines flight MH370 also made its way among the top conspiracy theories. Russian president Vladimir Putin was believed to have hijacked the plane and flown it to Kazakhstan.
