Farmers Returned 700-year-old Antiques And Got Only $50.

Is honesty from citizens still appreciated by governments in this modern world?

The antiques shown in the picture was discovered by some local farmers in Ningxiang county of China’s Hunan province and taken to the government office.

According to a report, the said relics have been confirmed as objects from the Song Dynasty dating as far back as 700 years.

With it’s estimated worth over thousands of dollars, the responsible farmers received only 400 yuan (about $500) as a reward.

Would it have been better if they hid the relics and sold it in a black market? Is their humility well appreciated with the $50 reward?
