Everyone Can Be Rich, Even You!

Each time I read about someone who committed suicide, depression becomes my companion and I tell myself” “What a precious life lost in the most gruesome manner”.

Then I think about hope, patience and perseverance as virtues.

People pass through difficult times in life. Everyday is a battle for survival as we face hurdles from deep within us and around our environment. We struggle against poor financial conditions that may have come as a result of family backgrounds; educational limitations which could be as a result of the former; and genetic or biological problems etc.

With or without those problems, we can’t be everything but we can still be something. No excuse is acceptable for being a failure. Unless you are ready to turn that failure into strength.

No one has ever chosen his parents or country. Quite agreed that “Whatever will be, will be”. But you can decide to settle for nothing or the best. It’s all in our hands.

Though some might argue that one’s place of birth or family background can go a long way in determining future success, I say ‘never’. There are stories of people who went from grass to grace as well as those who came from grace to grass. Life is what we make it.

Wealth and poverty are like numbers in a spinner. We might need a little luck to pick the lucky number but if you never hoped nor tried, there’s only one choice for you – poverty. If you tried and failed many times, keep trying.

The best things in life are free, only if you’re talking about the air we breath.

Wealth is not given for the mere asking of it. Success can come from anywhere – from anything. There are no limitations to success but there’s no shortcut to it. If you really want it, it’s time to say bye bye to hopelessness and laziness.

If someone cannot make something from nothing, there’s no way that person is going to make nothing from something.

In The parable of the Talents Matthew 25: 14-29 (NKJV):

14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

CONCLUSION:

We all have different abilities and different talents. There’s no human being without one or more special gifts that’s worth thousands and millions of dollars. Don’t be deceived if poverty or backwardness is starring right through your eyeballs.

Making it big starts within us.

Do you tell yourself, it’s over? Do you tell yourself that you’ll never be successful in life? You’re totally wrong because there’s someone out there who could have made it in life if only they had a little bit of your given talents.

Don’t give it away through hopelessness and laziness!

Throw away pessimism. Look into yourself and find the spark you’ve disrespected and abandoned. It’s been there all this time waiting to be discovered.

Leave your comfort zone if you have to, no one said it’s going to be very easy. Push away distractions from your life and make friends with those who will support your goals.

Above all, if you believe in God, pray without ceasing.

Everyone can be rich, even you!

‘LOSE ALL YOUR EXCUSES AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR RESULT.’
