Dani Alves Confirms He Wants To Leave Barcelona.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has admitted that Dani Alves wants to leave the club, adding that “It’s a personal decision which we respect.”

In the recent past days, Alves confessed he’ll remain a Barca player for another year but there seem to be a rift yet unclear. The Brazilian has been strongly linked with a move to Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain as reports confirm he can quit Camp Nou for free before June 5 due to a clause in his contract.

Robert had a brief chat with at a Press Conference as reported by Mundo Deportivo: “Dani has decided to leave. It’s a personal decision which we respect. There’s no more to say. He’s already told us of his intention.

“He’s been an extraordinary player. The issue of his renewal [last year] must be analyzed by how calmly it was done. We were in a FIFA sanction and couldn’t sign players. We signed Alex Vidal and Arda Turan but they couldn’t play until January. At the time Dani Alves’ renewal was logical and normal, because he was a player who had a very good season and every season he’s been exquisite, with a fantastic behavior.

“Dani’s contract ended last season. The club was in a difficult situation. Dani was very important to the club and we decided to offer a renewal. Renewals aren’t only decided by the club but the player and his representative, seeking favorable situations, and in that negotiation Alves wanted a year and then to go free. The club doesn’t always win in negotiations.”

  2. He has stayed long enough and won trophies. Trying somewhere might be a good choice as not everyone can be a one-club man.

  3. Hurrah! At last I got a weblog from where I be able to truly obtain helpful facts on sports and politics. I’ll be coming here everyday.
