Cristiano Ronaldo’s new statue from Jose Antonio Navarro Arteaga looks better

Cristiano Ronaldo’s newest statue has been revealed and it looks better than the last one.

Jose Antonio Navarro Arteaga, a famous Spanish sculptor, on Saturday unveiled his superb bronze immortalization of the Portugal international footballer. The image stands at almost a meter-high and weighs 60 kg, media reports confirm.

The Real Madrid forward can now beat up his chest for having a better waxwork at the club’s museum where it will soon be sampled among Los Blancos greats.

Ronaldo’s new effigy has been compared to a previous work figure from Portuguese sculptor Emanuel Santos, whose statue of Ronaldo rests outside Madeira airport.

Pictures don’t lie, do they?

While social media buzz on C. Ronaldo’s newest simulacrum continues, Emmanuel Santos defended his first artwork for the famous footballer in an interview with Radio Renascença. He claims the Portuguese football star was excited after seeing some photos from his brother.

‘From the appreciative messages he [Ronaldo] sent to me on completion of the project, I know he liked what he saw,’ Santos said.

‘His only request was for some wrinkles to be removed…he said they gave him a certain expression on his face when he’s about to laugh.

‘He also requested that I soften the image so he could appear younger,’ he added.

‘The image wouldn’t be at the international airport if Ronaldo didn’t like it. He gave the approval because he liked what he saw.’
