In one of his recent interviews, the Portuguese player told Cadena SER: “I think I will stay at Madrid.” Asked about retirement plans, he said: “Within 15 years. I’ll quit at about 41 or so.”

The last question about renewing his contract nearly got him screaming. He questioned the press: “Who said that? It’d be better if it was Florentino Perez.

It would be smart of Madrid. If you were the President would you renew my contract? Of course I want to stay,” Ronaldo confirmed. The club has proven to him how wise they are and he’s the happiest footballer right now.

“There have been good times and bad times. That’s life. Four years ago I wasn’t happy because things happened I didn’t like. Now I’m happy and I want to continue because I don’t see any club better than Madrid. If you put everything in balance, there’s nothing better. Forget PSG? Forget everyone. Madrid is the best,” Ronaldo boasted.

Reports say the forwards current contract runs until 2018 but he will be putting pen to paper for the 2021 deal soon, after the Champions League Final scheduled in Milan, Italy on May 28.

Cristiano Ronaldo‘s new deal means he will end his wonderful career playing top level football in the Spanish capital.

The player will be 36 years old in 2021.

Jorge Mendes, the famous football agent representing Jose Mourinho, Ronaldo and other big names, is said to be excited with the deal. This is the second time CR7 has renewed his contract at Santiago Bernabeu since a 2009 switch from Old Trafford.
