The number of coronavirus-related deaths throughout the world has surpassed 240,000, more than 3.3 million cases of the infection have been registered, and more than 1 million of those patients have recovered, according to the US-based Johns Hopkins University, which tracks and compiles data from federal and local authorities, media and other sources.

The United States leads the global case count, with 1,112,870 who have tested positive. This includes 164,015 recoveries and 65,908 fatalities.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University, there are over 1.1 million confirmed coronavirus cases in the United  including more than 66,000 deaths from COVID-19. In the District of Columbia, over 4,600 cases have been confirmed.

Indonesia registers 349 New Cases, 14 Fatalities – Health Ministry.

Spain registers lowest coronavirus death toll since mid-March. Spain’s coronavirus death toll climbed to 25,264, from 25,100 on Saturday. The number of cases has risen to 217,466 from 216,582 from the previous day.

Malaysia registers 122 new cases and 2 fatalities.

The World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic on 11 March.
