Chelsea Almost Done With A Record Transfer Deal For Romelu Lukaka.

Chelsea are very close to completing a world record transfer deal for Belgium international footballer Romelu Lukaku, following reports that Everton have finally agreed to let go of the super striker who already confirmed he wants to leave.

Mirror reveals that though Romelu and Everton seem to have reached an agreement on his exit from the club, the bigger obstacle is his price tag.

The 23-year-old arrived Everton from Stamford Bridge in 2014 at the cost of £28 million and in barely two years, hardwork has seen his value rise.

Chelsea have reportedly placed a £57 million bid on the table but the Toffees are saying it’ll cost more than just that for the player’s dream return to the club.

“Chelsea have had a £57million bid for Romelu Lukaku rejected by Everton – but are confident of agreeing a deal to re-sign him this summer.

“The two clubs are haggling over a fee, with the Toffees holding out for a club-record £75million.”

Romelu’s price tag puts him at about £4 million less than what Juventus paid to have Argentina international footballer Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli, just two days ago.

Though Chelsea have already signed Michy Batshuayi from Marseille earlier this summer, manager Antonio Conte is looking for a top class striker to strengthen the club’s options.

As Diego Costa gets sidelined due to injury, at least for the start of 2016/2016 season, there could be no better time to have Lukaku who already admitted he has an unfinished business at Stamford Bridge.
