Ricky Martin, the Puerto Rican singer, actor and author, has announced he’s engaged to his boyfriend Jwan Yousef. And guess what! The famous singer who appeared as a guest on Ellen DeGeneres’ Wednesday show, says his wedding will be “one loud and crazy party.”
Martin expressed himself as being madly in love with the Syrian-born artist, Yousef.
Describing what he expects his wedding day to be like, the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer told People.com: “This is going to be Middle Eastern and Latin crazy all at once.
“It’s going to be one loud wedding!”
The 44-year-old says he has been searching for his missing rib a long time but never lost hope, especially after same-sex marriage was legalised in the U.S. last year.

Martin adds that he “celebrated like crazy” after the bill was passed in 2015 although he was single at that time.
His relationship with Yousef started earlier this year but it didn’t take a long time for them to realize they’re meant for each other.
“I thought, ‘I hope someday I get to wear a freaking ring and celebrate love and bring my family and friends to a big feast and get all Latin crazy on it,” he recalls.
Talking about their little romance, the Award winning singer gushed: “It’s one of those things when you have very beautiful moments, magical moments, magical conversations and beautiful experiences and all this time, you’re thinking, ‘Maybe it’s here’.
“Then you just go for it and allow yourself to feel… I’m very certain about what’s happening. I’m a hopeless romantic.”
In 2008, Puerto Rico declared August 31 to be International Ricky Martin Day.

Martin also talked about how he popped the question to his lover, Yousef. He admits it wasn’t easy because he felt so nervous, stuttered, but had to find the courage he needed.
In his words: “I was really nervous, but I got on my knees and… I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying, ‘Would you marry me?’, I said, ‘I got you something!’
“Bad. And then he was like, ‘Yes?’. I said, ‘I want to spend my life with you’ and he was like, ‘What is the question? Would you marry me?’ That’s it!
“It was very beautiful and then 30 minutes after, I said, ‘Wait, did you say yes?'” he added.

On what qualities attracted him the most.
“He’s a conceptual artist and I’m a collector. I started looking for art, and I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does, really original,” Martin told Ellen.
“Then you collected him,” DeGeneres jokingly asked.
And now, you may kiss the bride.
Before Martin started a love affair with Jwan, he already had 2 sons – Matteo and Valentino – through a surrogate mother back in 2008. The singer went public with his sexuality in 2010.
