At the Qixia Mountain (a scenic spot in Nanjing, capital of east China’s Jiangsu Province) a total number of 50 kids participated in a competition. Funny as it was, the kids wearing Buddhist clothing took part in a beauty pageant.
The goal of the competition held on May 1, 2016 was to ” find the most lovely Buddhist baby”.
The most lovely Buddhist baby to be voted by netizens out of the 50 selected kids must be between 3-5 years old.
The all-male kids catwalked (or rather, moved) around a Buddhist pagoda with stringed Buddhist beads and were later treated to Buddhist cuisine at the end of the event.
