While there are a few conserved natural habitats in China where you should consider visiting if you wish to de-stress at a relaxing and secluded eco-resort, it’s quite necessary to know that most of the popular cities here aren’t conducive for health reasons.
The China Institute of City Competitiveness–a Hong Kong-based research organization, has released a ranking of Chinese cities based on their clean index.
This eco-friendly ranking uses 21 detailed indexes in five major criteria, including a green index, a clean and tidy index of buildings, a clean index of living environment, a waste disposal index and a sanitary service index.
Hong Kong has become the cleanest city in China, with a total score of 89.3. Macao and Xiamen of Fujian Province rank the second and third respectively.
